Welcome to Life Love and Puppy Paws!

Hey Friends! Welcome to my blog!

I'm Jen. I'm a working Mama who currently resides in Central Ohio. I have a 2 year old little boy and 2 pups.

When I'm not working, or being a Mama, I love binging on Netflix and YouTube videos, working on my photography skills, reading (listening to) books, listening to podcasts, and decorating our home. I love all things organization and party planning. I'm addicted to Instagram (let's be friends!) and coffee, and enjoy dark chocolate and a really good red wine.

I started this blog as a way to document our lives with a toddler and 2 pups (hence the name Life Love and Puppy Paws), as well as capture the things that bring us joy -- traveling, exploring our town, things we can't live without, recipes and more.

I also plan to share Mama and lifestyle topics, home decor, holiday and party decorations, boss lady tips and advice, and so much more! I hope this blog, and my YouTube videos, empower others, share fun information, allow me to connect with other Mamas, and unleash some of my creativity.

Since this is my first post, I also wanted to share a few things to help get to know me better:

1. I've worked in advertising for over 15 years. I've worked on many accounts including health care, pet care, baby food, and I'm currently working on a pediatric nutritional drink brand. I have a love/hate relationship with working. I LOVE what I do, and I really enjoy working on marketing plans, giving presentations and interacting with my clients and co-workers. But I HATE leaving my baby, feeling overwhelmed with a full workload and a full home life, and feeling like I can't do it all and do it perfectly. But that's just Mom life and I know we all have our struggles.

2. I am obsessed with llamas. My family knows all about my obsession and every birthday or Christmas gift includes some sort of llama item and I love them all! I've been begging my in-laws to get a llama for their farm for 5 years, and I'm not giving up! I have actually visited about 5 llama farms here in Ohio. One of them was a llama/flower farm and another was a winery with llamas. I should probably write a post about all of my llama adventures. Comment below if that is something you might be interested in hearing more about.

3. I'm probably going to get weirdo status for saying this, but I don't really care for candy, I'm not a huge fan of pie, and I could totally forgo cake. But my weakness is dark chocolate and fresh baked cookies. My absolute favorite is the Kitchen Sink Cookie from Panera. It's like a $4 cookie and probably has 2,000 calories, but it has large chocolate chunks, caramel pieces, pretzels and is topped with flaked salt. My mouth is watering just thinking about it...yum!

4. I love to decorate for the holidays and plan parties. I was a little depressed after Christmas this past year. I was going through a tough time, and put a lot of stock in the holiday making me happy. So when it was over, I was so bummed out. I decided that my "Word of the Year" was going to be "Joy" and that my goal for the year was to find the joy in the everyday things -- both big and small -- and not just the big holidays. So this year we are celebrating the everyday things and also ALL of the holidays. My goal is to share via my blog and YouTube how we are celebrating this year. Last month I posted a Valentine's Day recap vlog over on my YouTube channel, and I'm currently working on a video for St. Patrick's Day (coming soon!). I woud love to know, what is your family celebrating this year? Do you celebrate all the holidays or just the big ones?

5. I'm an Enneagram Six - I am loyal, trustworthy and a great troubleshooter, but I am anxious and cautious. I am the classic helicopter Mom and my husband thinks it's hillarious that we have such a dare devil son. I swear he is going to give me a heart attack some days. But I'm working on trying to be a cool Mom someday that lets him just be a boy. I think I am a Wing 5, which I've read means I want to have everything figured out as a way of defending myself from threats. So basically I am a chronic worrier that has Plans A, B, C through Z figured out...ha!

I'm still working out my posting schedule, but plan to have at least 1 post every Monday or Tuesday, and then possibly a second post on Thursday or Friday as well. I have a few posts from my blog archive that I'm planning to bring back and share as well. So lots of fun content coming soon!
